Oooo! It's O week!

Writer's picture: Claire EvansClaire Evans

Only once in one alphabetical cycle can we have O week! I really need you to read this out loud and do sound effects to make it work!

Organic Oats (other grains are available)

You don't have to make flapjacks (although they are my favourite). But as you know, we run on Cake and have an RDA Show Jumping on February 21st. We are happy with shop bought or home made, but if it's home made please bring a list of ingredients so we can be allergy aware.

Onboarding!

We are delighted to welcome to the board, 2 new trustees. Lydia Heywood, who represents Jamaica in eventing and has worked with us on projects like our Cool Ridings horse experience day, and Tara Knight, an HR professional with extensive experience with both horses and people management. They'll be about the Centre, and you'll likely meet them at our open day on May 4th.

Open Day!

And speaking of seamless transitions between posts - our next open day is May 4th! Pop it in your calendar! There will be stalls, food, activities, demonstrations, and of course, ponies! We'll be sending out more details nearer the time!

One foot in front the other!

Or Yard Supervisor, Cat, is running a half marathon to raise funds for the Centre. As many of you know, after experiencing brain injury Cat had to use a wheelchair for a while. The fact she is now running marathons is very impressive! You can find out more about her journey and support here here.

Organise and overhaul your cupboard!

If you're having a spring clean don't forget that we can take good quality clothes, paired shoes and bags. Just bag it up and drop it off at reception. We'll take it from there!

Overwhelming Success!

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our fun dog show on Sunday. Everyone who came had an outstanding time and were overjoyed with the obedient dogs! Thanks to everyone who helped us make the day so much fun, and the judges and volunteers who donated their time to make the day so lovely. We were able raise over £1000 which we shared with Bristol Animal Rescue.
